Our Role and Responsibility
MakeMyRyde operates as an online technology platform that connects passengers with independent cab operators and professional drivers across India.
We do not own or operate any taxis, nor do we employ drivers directly. Every ride booked through our platform is a direct agreement between the passenger and the cab operator/driver.
All drivers and operators on our platform are independent service providers responsible for:
- Maintaining valid commercial driving licenses and vehicle permits
- Holding active passenger insurance as required by Indian law
- Ensuring their vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with all safety norms
Passenger & Driver Safety Rights
- Document Verification: Passengers may request to see the driver’s ID, license, and vehicle documents before travel.
- Driver Verification: Drivers may also request a valid photo ID from passengers for mutual security.
- Trip Cancellation: If either party is not satisfied with any document or safety concern before starting the trip, they may cancel the booking immediately. Any advance payment will be refunded within 72 hours of verification.

All transport services are provided solely by third-party cab operators or drivers, who are responsible for compliance with applicable transport and insurance laws.
MakeMyRyde shall not be held liable for any accident, injury, death, loss, or damage that may occur during travel.
Our platform provides convenience and connection - the service itself is performed entirely by independent providers.
